β±οΈ 15 Mins β’ Zero Roll-Unders
Phase 1: 6-Yard Stop, Barrier & Pass
π DRILL SETUP
7 pairs facing each other 6 yards apart with a 2-yard cone gate in the middle. Amii takes the Keeper for 10 minutes of confidence-rebuilding ground stops.
π― THE GOLDEN RULE
Never step on top of a rolling ball! Stepping on it is why it rolls straight under your foot. Get your whole body behind it.
- Step 1 β Move Your Feet First (5m): Shuffle your feet so your hips and shins are directly in line with the ball. Cushion it dead with the flat inside wall of your boot.
- Step 2 β Lock & Punch (5m): No toe-pokes or lazy flicks. Plant your standing foot pointing at your partner, lock your ankle rock-solid, and punch a firm side-foot pass through the gate.
- Step 3 β Keeper Reset (5m): On every shot or pass along the floor, the Keeper must step towards the ball and drop one knee to form a solid K-barrier behind itβzero attempts to trap shots with the sole of the boot.

Phase 2: Kill the Straight Ball & GK Rush
π DRILL SETUP
12-yard central corridor leading into the penalty box. Defender starts at the top of the box; Keeper starts on the edge of her 6-yard box (yellow line).
π― FIXING TODAY’S 8 GOALS
Most of the 8 goals came from a straight ball where we hovered, waved a leg in the air, and left the Keeper glued to her white line. That ends tonight.
- Rule 1 β Ban the “Karate Kid” Leg: If a defender throws their arms up, turns their back, or dangles one foot in the air without body contact, we stop immediately and redo the rep.
- Rule 2 β Touch the Runner & Block: Meet the runner outside the box. Get close enough to put your forearm/shoulder into their chest and block tackle with your body weight forward.
- Rule 3 β Keeper Off Her Line: The white goal line is banned. The Keeper starts 6 yards out; the split-second the attacker takes a heavy touch past the defender, the Keeper shouts “KEEPER!” and charges out to clear or smother it.

Phase 3: Wide Lanes & Fullback Push
π DRILL SETUP
Cone off two 12-yard wide channels down both wings with a red halfway border line across the middle. Put LB + LW in the left lane and RB + RW in the right lane.
π― TWO SIMPLE JOBS
Wingers stay high so we have an outlet; Fullbacks push forward every single time the ball goes down their sideβwithout waiting to be told!
- Rule 1 β The Winger Border: The Right Winger and Left Winger are physically banned from stepping behind the red halfway cones to play Fullback. Stay high and wide!
- Rule 2 β The 10-Yard Elevator: As soon as the Fullback passes the ball up the line (or the CM feeds the Winger), the Fullback must sprint across the red line to sit 10 yards behind the Winger as a safety net.
- Rule 3 β 2v1 Down the Channel: Put 1 defender in each wide lane. The Fullback and Winger must work together (pass, push up, bounce pass, or overlap) to beat that 1 defender and cross into the box.

β±οΈ 20 Mins β’ Accountability Game
Phase 4: 3-Lane “Run & Compete” Match
π DRILL SETUP
Leave the orange wide-channel cones down on the pitch for the match so players have visual tramlines showing where Wingers and Fullbacks belong.
π FOLLOWING IN-GAME INSTRUCTIONS
If you stand still, dangle a lazy leg, or ignore your positional job, your team immediately loses the ball.
- Rule 1 β The “Tackle Point” (+1 Bonus Goal): Any player who steps in and wins a proper shoulder-to-shoulder duel or firm block tackle earns +1 Goal for their team on the spot.
- Rule 2 β Automatic Fullback Push: When the ball enters our wide lane, the Fullback on that side must cross the halfway line to support the Winger. If the Fullback stays back watching, the whistle blows and the other team gets the ball.
- Rule 3 β Goal Line is Lava & No Hovering: If the Keeper is caught glued to her white goal line instead of her 6-yard line, or if any outfield player does a “Karate Kid” wave at the ball without contact, the opposition is awarded a free kick.
